How to Access TWH
You can refer yourself to us directly.
Alternatively, you can speak to your GP, statutory mental health service, or other organisation who can make the referral on your behalf.
To make a referral simply download one of our Referral Forms and send it to email@example.com or post to: Tyneside Women's Health, Unit 12, Interchange Centre, West Street, Gateshead, NE8 1BH.
Most of our interventions are delivered in groups so it's important that you're ok in a group setting.
Once we receive the completed Referral Form we will contact you directly to invite you along to one of our Welcome Sessions. The purpose of the Welcome Session is to inform you about the services we offer so that you can make an informed choice about whether or not we are the right place for you. Welcome Sessions are offered regularly at both our Centres.
During or after the Welcome Session we will work with you to complete some of our registration forms. You will also receive a copy of our Service User Handbook which tells you all about the services, what we expect from you and what you can expect from us.
Following the Welcome Session, if you do wish to access our services, we will arrange for you to meet with a member of staff on a one to one basis to complete a Needs Assessment. This appointment will be an opportunity for you to discuss your needs in detail and agree the activities that you will attend at Tyneside Women's Health. We can offer these in person or over the telephone. After this appointment you can access all of the services we have to offer!
If at any point, you decide you no longer wish to access our services, just let us know and we will close your records. You will be welcome to come back at any point, but if it's been longer than one year we might ask you to attend another Needs Assessment to make sure the information we hold about you is correct.
